My Journey to the Garden of Joy

Sometimes, buying land or property can be a tedious journey, especially if you are working full time, like myself. On my journey to acquire a plot at Garden of Joy on Kangundo road, I was very privileged to meet a few people who walked the journey with me. The first person that I talked to is Dennis Mwangi, whom I can describe as a very professional, experienced young man.

I told Dennis how I learnt about Optiven Limited and that I wanted to buy a plot at the Garden of Joy/Machakos County. Dennis helped me in every step and made my purchasing of the plot completely hassle free. He booked for me the sight visit and showed me the various plots that were still available.

After I identified the plot and booked, he immediately communicated this to the office and since then, it has been a remarkable journey. Since I am working and have no time to visit the Optiven office in town, Dennis organised for my signed Sale Agreement to be dropped at my place of work without any delays.

He has been extremely communicative and easy to answer my questions at all times His great assistance and advice helped me alot in making my decision. Even when I identified another plot and decided to switch, Dennis was very helpful in the process and everything was done so swiftly, he was not around on that particular day because I had not informed him about my visit to Garden of Joy, but he linked me to his colleague Susan Mathu in the Ruai office.

Susan welcomed me to the office with a friendly smile and was incredibly helpful. I also want to thank Faith, Zippora and Jeremy for their prompt responses on email, a very communicative and professional team. As the process of transferring the plot title deed to my name is underway, I want to give my appreciation to Dennis Mwangi, you are a true professional in your field, together with your colleagues Susan, Faith, Zippora and Jerem, you make a great team. My experience with Optiven is a journey. I got my title deed on August and on our way home I lost it. It was so depressing but I had to do what I had to do. I Reported it, and called Optiven the following morning and informed them. They were not only sympathetic with me but guided me through the process on how to get a new one.

The fact that their lands are clean they assured me that no matter who has it they cannot sell it. They were of so much help but along the process I run out of time and had to travel back to work out of the country. A week later I woke up to the best news. Someone called and reported that he picked it just the day I lost it. They went through all the necessary steps to make sure it was indeed the one. All these without my presence.

I came to hear about Optiven sometimes in 2017 but I was so fearful coz the diaspora people have lost huge sums of cash through false companies. My fear was taken away by Stephen Mbugua when he had a session in Kikuyu Diaspora Media via our CEO Jeremy Damaris. I decided to trust your company through Steve and for sure I’m so glad I did so.

I was in Kenya last month and I visited Baclays Plaza 14th floor and I was amazed by the conducive and good customer service I received. It did end there, Steve took us to Kitengela where I had already committed with a plot in phase 3.

I watched an interview of you explaining about Optiven on family tv. I have lost alot of money along the way, in many investments which I wish i had not ventured into; mostly because I didn’t know better but also because I trusted older people who misled me.

Then I learnt of your history and how you had tried and failed 15times and I suddenly felt normal and human. The one solid thing I have learnt after my many mistakes is to trust my gut feeling because it is God-given. My gut feeling did not go on red-alert when I watched you on tv and I decided to invest the little I had left through Optiven. So I was served by your very supportive staff called Steve who answered any questions I had and gave me some insight into land investment and tried to calm my fears on land purchase.

On the viewing day, I was driven to the land site by your equally courteous personal driver (sorry I forget his name), together with Steve. I thank God that the little I had left was enough for me to purchase in full; plot S209 at Shaloms Gardens.

I must admit when I met Steve I was tempted to run, maybe flee should be more accurate. Not because he had done anything wrong, but because I have encountered one too many ruthless young men, who sadly have all been my relatives who have disappeared with money from shared investments we had made. I quickly (maybe not so quickly) learnt that young men get ruthless when in contact with money especially (sadly) when dealing with a female.

I must also admit I panicked halfway into the Shalom garden drive when my mind wondered what would happen if I (an unaccompanied lady) made a wrong decision and got into a car with two men (strangers; Steve and the driver) who I had to blindly trust to drive me to the correct place. But your driver spoke to me every now and then and I could tell he was a Christian so that put me abit at ease.

I thought it important to highlight some of the seemingly unimportant details that Optiven may or may not know are very important to a customer and made the difference between me investing through Optiven vs other channels. I believe you are genuine people not because I have done much background checks on Optiven but because my spirit was not disturbed when I walked through your doors and when I was served by your personnel. Even the plots under Optiven looked physically different and much more catered to than the other plots around.

Please keep God first because His presence is felt in your environment and may He keep you (personally+ your family) and Optiven growing and may you experience His favor as you make investment choices for us (your customers).

Wow!!!! i feel honored to have the CEO of a successful company calling me and even sending me documents in person to pass information. That is just awesome. For a long time I wanted to buy property but I developed cold feet cos the few i ventured into always wanted the money now and kept hurrying me. Interesting how God works. I normally switch to Hope FM in the morning when I am preparing for work. So one day I heard an advert about land in Machakos. I bought a plot at Silver Gardens through my brother last year, and then visited Kenya from Minnesota in May 2013 where I met the whole team from Optiven. What a team of professionals! I have bought land in other areas from different parties and I can tell you none compares to the staff at Optiven. Well, for a long time, people have ended up losing their hard earned money to scrupulous con men/women who pose as brokers and ‘owners’ of land properties. You no longer have to suffer anymore, not when we have Optiven property developers. We bought two parcels of land at Kitengela and the experience cannot be matched with any other. Lots of professionalism , warmth and friendliness right from when you walk in the offices through to when that much sought document called the title deed is handed over to you. Good PR, Customized service….and even a cup of beverage when you walk in (ha ha ha!) I recommend Optiven to anyone who wants to buy genuine property and at a most flexible payment terms.
